When not mediating conflicts, Lisa Teryl volunteers with the Canadian Rights and Freedoms Centre. She is the project lead on the People’s Legal Café which is a partnership between Nova Scotia’s Public Regional Libraries, the Centre and Teryl Scott Lawyers Inc. The partnership will deliver affordable legal services through the public libraries for those who need help self- representing.
